Once a year, to usher in Advent, the 50 bells of 10 churches ring together for half an hour — an outdoor concert of bells. Julie scored us the last 4 tickets on a river boat cruise and we reveled in the festive sights and tolling bell as we motored up & down the river at sunset and rise of the full moon over the city. In high German style, the "snack and drink" included with our $20 ticket was so much more — warm gluhwein and a smorgasbord of soup, pretzels, apfelkuchen, cookies, and stolen. Two extra pieces of stolen were stolen for later. That is why they named it stolen, right?
