Though the Olympics don't start for another three weeks, Wimbledon is in progress now. Of course we HAD to try. Just as Syl & I arrived there, so did the rain. We queued up and were each given a queue card (I was number 5219), stickers that said "I queued in the rain" (it's telling that they have those pre-printed) and "A Guide to Queueing" booklet that includes The Queue Code of Conduct. After an hour in line the gates opened, the rain stopped, and we wound our way inside. We had access to the grounds and games on 16 courts, all but the biggest 4. We had a great day hopping from court to court and literally sitting courtside! The place is spectacular with the pomp and circumstance properly fitting an English Lawn Tennis Club. There are special outfits for each position, special procedures for everything including opening a new can of tennis balls, and a special falcon that does aerial surveillance to keep pesky pigeons away. It's also quite delightful that champagne and fresh strawberries with cream are the signature items in the food court.

Just had to check before going to bed, and sure enough - you've already done Wimbledon since I last checked. You're exhausting me! So glad you're having a blast - sorry about the rain!
