They laughed when I tried to order Kaisersschmarrn for breakfast so we hit the trail to see if the next hut would be more flexible. The rain overnight made the rocks and roots on the trail quite slippery so we had to pick our way slowly. When the rain started we rigged our umbrellas so we could still use both hands for our hiking poles. We walked in and out of the clouds and hiked for 5 hours to the next hut. The cows and wild flowers encouraged us along the way. We are now in the "Wild Kaiser" and our 2nd hut, Stripsenjochhaus, is located in a mountain pass at snow level. We can tell it *should* have a spectacular view but until the clouds clear we will have to look at the postcards that show sunny blue skies.
