Go climb (down) a rock
Not wanting to backtrack, we took a path less traveled following trail markers painted on the rocks. It was tough, rocky going, descending nearly 3000 of our hard-earned feet (and feat). Off in the distance we saw reindeer. No, we did not have schnapps for breakfast. And we're glad we didn't because the trail included two sections of steel cables and ladder steps drilled into the rock wall to help us get down the gnarliest bits. At the bottom we ran into a couple who asked if we were expert hikers to do the trail. Arlo said, "We're expert...beginners."
