We arrived at our next hut early enough for lasagna and beer for lunch (all the trail signs are in Italian and German so we felt our lunch should combine the two as well.) It's hard enough learning one language but this hybrid of two languages becomes even more confusing. We've found mostly Italians on the trails but there are plenty of Germans, a few Brits, and a couple Japanese. We say we're Canadians for obvious reasons.
i'm literally dying to be where you are.....so incredibly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSteph, we need you along as our Italian translator. You would live the hikes!
DeleteDo vegans hike these trails? What do they find to eat?
